Bonds

Bonds
By JodetteP

The pat of the

pad of my

fingers.

On the black keys

and the white

ones.

Leaving marks and print,

maybe stains of

grease.

Soft touch, gentle tickling,

sweep across silently,

maybe.

Sweeping across silently but

playing very much

noisily.

I like the loud music,

the very strong

music.

I like what it

does to my

ears.

What it does to

my body it

does.

It does things like

dancing and jumping

around.

And all this is

done in my

home.

With my dear family-

my parents and

sister.

This is what we

do all the

time.

The black keys are

times of our

quarrels.

And the white stands

for the lovely

moments.

They leave prints and

marks on our

memories.

But I like these

ups and these

downs.

They make life how

life should be

like-

With more white keys

than blacks keys

alive.

We make music and

we dance and

sing.

Together.

  1. they make life how it sould be…nice…i like the symbolism you give the white and black keys…and life is full of those ups and downs…but hopefully a bit of dancing as well…

  2. I loved the way you dealt with white keys and black keys and how both are needed. Yes, I like music loud too. And ups and downs are part of life’s dance!
